  1. Hi, I would like to ask for your humble cooperation, if possible. The topic for my project is "Analysis of Sleeping Habits and Patterns for different age groups". Hence, as a part of my Biology Project, I need to conduct a survey. The link for the survey is : http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/W3R5KGQ No personal data is collected. Your Name, though optional would NOT be a part of the statistical report. I shall post the results as soon as I get the replies. I do not want to make fake reports or just state my source as secondary so this is a perfect medium for this task. Thank you once again for your help.
  2. Thank you, khaled. I think I would need some more resources on algorithms. could you suggest me an online tutor?
  3. On Earth, Which is possibly the most elastic material ?
  4. Sorry for maybe posting in the wrong section. I found numerous project ideas on the internet but none of them appealed to me. Like - Estimating a reaction or predicting phenomenon. Physics-Chemistry related phenomenon really interests me. With reference to my earlier post regarding http://www.sciencefo...inning-of-life/ My Question was :- Should the definition of 'Living Things' be redefined to objects or substances or phenomenon that possess Kinetic Energy? For which michel123456 said that Many suggest that the question is ambiguous however michel123456 thinks that as a good question. Should I take up this as a question for my presentation?
  5. The 9/11 Massacre is quite known to everyone. I was wondering the mechanism behind the massive destruction. Is it the principle of Center of Mass?
  6. Well, Google is hosting a Science Fair and invites participants aged 13-18 to present a project. I need some experiments or topics that I could perform and which are safe to use. I need some Physics and/or Chemistry project *Topics Only* (Which are quite unique) which I can perform safely. "Google is looking for the brightest, best young scientists from around the world to submit interesting, creative projects that are relevant to the world today. " Could anyone suggest me the same? I have already checked with the Official Rules that the participants are allowed to consult their teachers and elders for choosing appropriate topic. Thank you! Regards, The Conqueror
  7. If time travel was possible, then certainly if anyone invents time travel machine say in 2042 then he should be talking with us!!
  8. I had certainly used Google! for searching 3-D Animated Laboratories but did not get satisfactory results, rather some 2-D Software which was half-as good. I really need a 3D Animated Software that could stimulate basic practical experiments(Like Titration, Finding the Molarity , etc).
  9. Based on the above theory which I have quoted, it seems that the universe , if it continuously expands would have started from a particular point or as they call it singularity. That Point Mass - How could it have been formed is the biggest question. If there exists - UFOs or Aliens or foreign creatures they could be very well be restricted by their own atmosphere - which essentially means that neither we nor they would be able to see each other. Right? Thank you everyone for the wonderful and thought-provoking replies. The Beginning of Life on Earth I have not been as specific here, and my queries are rather mixed up.
  10. I believe http://www.Khanacademy.org could help you generate creative insight into Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, etc. The videos posted are exceptionally good. You could start with Basic Addition all the way to High-School Calculus. And it is all for Free! Hope this helps, The Conqueror
  11. Is there a piece of software that would allow users to use a "Virtual 3-D Laboratory" for practice ?
  12. Hi I am an avid programmer, and have a solid understanding of the basic fundamentals of the C and HTML Programming Languages. However, I participated in the regional informatics olympiad and was completely disheartened. The questions involved use of complex algorithms and I had never studied them before. (http://ioinformatics.org/index.shtml ). To be able to participate in IoI , students need to score well in the regional olympiads held in every country. A rough guideline for the syllabus can be found over here : http://www.ioi2009.org/GetResource?id=32 Should I upgrade my knowledge-base to the C++ Programming Language? If so, please suggest me relevant resources for the same. I would like to participate the next year and hopefully make it to the International Olympiad in Informatics. Could you suggest me appropriate resources for the following things :- 1. Problem Solving Strategies 2. Books 3. Video Lectures 4. Online Tutoring Sites I am really passionate about Computers and would definitely work hard, just need the right resources and the right guidance. Thank you, The Conqueror
  13. Hello everyone, I am planning to participate in the International Chemistry Olympiad (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Chemistry_Olympiad). Needed some suggestions on which books/videos/ and other resources to go for. A List of Good Books with reviews would be quite helpful. Thanks, The Conqueror
  14. Hi, I am The Conqueror, all the way from India studying in Grade 11(CBSE). Hoping to have a great time here!
  15. Hi, I am a Grade 11 Student (CBSE) from India and some questions popped up in my mind. Would be glad if you could help me out! What is the exact beginning of life? Who provided the force needed to create this massive universe, the supernovas and the Earth ? Who provided the angular velocity for earth to rotate and revolve? Does the universe continuously expand? Should the definition of 'Living Things' be redefined to objects or substances or phenomenon that possess Kinetic Energy? Lots of external factors influence life tremendously and these things have complete control over our life - Pressure,Air,etc.
