  1. I'm just asking if how old earth is. I'm just confused why it's 4.4 or 4.5 billion years old not 6 million years old.
  2. Nobody is welcoming me. I guess their too busy of posting and reading.
  3. Too busy today, can't believe it!

  4. I think 2010 is the warmest for now , because this year is "I don't know".
  5. An earthquake is a phenomenon that results from and is powered by the sudden release of stored energy that radiates seismic waves. At the Earth's surface, earthquakes may manifest themselves by a shaking or displacement of the ground and sometimes tsunamis, which may lead to loss of life and destruction of property. Earthquakes may occur naturally or as a result of human activities. In its most generic sense, the word earthquake is used to describe any seismic event—whether a natural phenomenon or an event caused by humans—that generates seismic waves. Most naturally occurring earthquakes are related to the tectonic nature of the Earth. Such earthquakes are called tectonic earthquakes. The Earth's lithosphere is a patch work of plates in slow but constant motion caused by the heat in the Earth's mantle and core. Plate boundaries glide past each other, creating frictional stress. When the frictional stress exceeds a critical value, called local strength, a sudden failure occurs. The boundary of tectonic plates along which failure occurs is called the fault plane. When the failure at the fault plane results in a violent displacement of the Earth's crust, the elastic strain energy is released and elastic waves are radiated, thus causing an earthquake. 6. But, I don't still get it. I'm confused why it's 4.55 or 4.54 billion yaers old the earth is.
  7. Well, I think it depends. The brain won't functions if it got shot in the head.
  8. Nope. The only scientist that predict is right, the earth is 6 million years old, not billion. Would you agree with it?
  9. 1.) Do you believe in evolution? 2.) Do you believe that the earth is 1,000,000 years old? 3.) Why? Tell us!
  10. Ammm...basically because it's made out of salt , but the answer is that I really don't know the answer.
  11. Hi, I'm known as IronParrot, but you can call me Kyle. Thanks! See you around!
