Laser Projector Technology

I recently purchased a laser projector, and I am impressed by the overall quality and performance, but I have been wondering how do laser projectors work?? I do know that in newer projectors they use a cyclical method of rotating RGB diodes. Would a laser projector work the same way but instead use laser diodes.?? I have been wondering ever since I got mine.. http://www.engadget....pico-projector/ Looking to finally understand how it works.
