  1. But the Biot-Savart law has length included.

    Triangles

Go for the given stuff only. The diagram is by me on MS Paint and not too detailed. Yes, EP must be prependicular to RT, but that is not given. This is where I am confused too.
  3. Oh yes! Didn't think of that. Thanks!
  4. Today, in a test, I got the following question. State the factors on which the magnetic field due to a current carrying straight conductor depends. My answer to it is that magnetic field is directly proportional to both current and length of the conductor. But, my classmates answered- Magnetic field would be directly proportional to current and inversely proportional to the distance between the point and conductor. Now, the reference of a point in second answer seems incorrect because the question asked the factors affecting the magnetic field of a straight current carrying conductor not the factors affecting the magnetic field at a point? Am I right. Wouldn't a reference to a point change the answer. Thanks for the reply.

    Triangles

This problem was in a book. In the figure, angle RQS = angle RSQ and QS is the median on TR. Prove that: EP/TP = PQ/TS Our teacher said that this problem is incomplete. Also, when you draw the figure, we need angle PTS for construction. But this angle is not given. Thus, as I find, the problem seems wrong. Can you help me solve it if you know how to? Thanks.
  6. I read this statement in a book. Difference of any two perfect squares is at least 3 It has been used to prove another question. I asked my teacher if he could tell me how to get this statement. He had no idea of it. Could you please tell me how to get this statement?
  7. I would make a non working model. What would you recommend studying to make it?
  8. Yes, I did. My question, to be more precise, is that how can I make a working model of it. I mean would it possible to show the electricity generation on a small scale and using a little cheap components?
  9. Is there a way to make a working model of it?
  10. I am planning to make a model or just write a paper in the one week holiday I would get next month. I have come upon with the idea that energy from friction should be utilised. Has this been done before? What would be the theoretical and practical possibility of this? How would the model go? What would be the limitations? If i get such a model made, I would like to install it at crowded places like a bus stop. Energy from the friction generated by shoe sole would run our machine(model).
  11. Electric force is conservative force as is gravitation. The work done by or against an electric field in moving a charge from one point to another is independent of the path taken.
  12. It is a tool for some, a dagger for others. I mean, using it appropriately for equations and other stuff is nice and you can easily find the formatted material the next time you look for it. And when people just use colours and fonts for their post, it looks odd. Even lengthy signatures spoil the show. Using colours and fonts for the entire post make me think that the person writing is not serious and is just another drop out from some regular chit-chat forum where they use formatting and lengthy signatures that sometimes simply cover the whole page. I think the text colour options should be just 4-Blue, Green, Red and Black. About the font, they won't make a mess.
  13. I have just noticed that I can do problems better when done neatly. Yeah, it works. But I get terrified and nervous during school tests. This has started happening just recently. I do practice at home but I still get terrified there. That was really a confidence booster. I have realised that I lagged in logical approach! If I knew the procedure, I would implement that on other questions but I wouldn't think of 'why this'. I am thankful to you.
  14. Yeah, it's about 14. That is what I skip- The logical progression between steps. What about off syllabus part?
  15. I am really concerned about my future. I am studying in class 10 and I want to pursue aeronautical engineering in future (My schooling pattern is different here) What I am concerned about is the fact that I am not good in mathematics now ( I used to be excellent earlier). If I do a test in speed, it lacks accuracy and if I do it with accuracy-it lacks speed. I am really shattered about my performance. Though I practice much and I am also interested in topics well off from school curriculum but of importance. Anyone please guide me. How to develop speed and accuracy? Is it only in practice or anything else? Also, should I go only with my school syllabus and stop reading or studying anything else related to subject?
  16. Are you sure that he wanted immorality of public show? I guess he might have wanted immorality because most of the Pharohs at that time wanted so. But, the point here is whether he wanted to be displayed or at least put somewhere else than his burial site, which he might have himself chosen.
  17. Hypercube, That won't produce a shockwave! That really requires a lot of sodium as specified by mississippichem. And also, it wouldn't produce that much heat that would be required to convert all the water into steam and provide enough pressure for the pipes to burst. Also, the hydrogen produced won't be that large that it ignites the whole of the tube. Hey one question! Can ignited hydrogen be extinguished using water?
  18. No, that's not what everyone thinks. All have their own views and they feel that right which their religion specifies. If you are going to be preserved then you would be a great mind or a single corpse they could get. Well, we can't ask anyone about mummie's wish to be preserved or not. There isn't an authority. Is there any?
  19. Change of state of matter is always a reversible process.
  20. Recycled? That is a wrong term. The organelles are repaired. And when a major organelle is worn out lysosome digests it and the cell is dead. From big I meant something like mitochondria.
  21. Do you know who gave this formula?
  22. Suppose I set the apparatus like this (image). Now I switch the key at the same time as I move the magnet towards the coil2. What would be the amount of current induced in coil 2?
