No, I didn't mean that. Let me take one more example. What if a beggar gets a notice that all the property of a rich has been named after him because the rich wanted to get the poorest of the town to be his heir? Then?

What if you see people with a little knowledge getting high posts which require knowledge and experience? What would it be called? Luck?

Harshness of judicial system is not related to developed or developing countries, in my opinion. It can be related to: Historical Events experienced by a country:like Nature of democracy and how it has evolved. If it has evolved against colonialist with mass struggle, it is quite possible that the judiciary would be humane. Similarly, all nations have their own history of rulers. It definitely influence the judiciary.

I would love to have your views on how luck plays a part in someone's success. Please put forward point with apt proof. Also, if you can support a point with evidence from scriptures, then go for it. This thread is not to debate whether scriptures are right or wrong. What I want to learn is how the role of luck has been described in them. Any interesting anecdote of someone becoming rich without an effort can be put forward (though it can't be a proof)

My Physics Teacher(PH D in Geophysics and earlier a researcher) almost threw me out of the class. I would like to copy his own words when I asked this to him this. He said in the beginning,"Anyone who wants to ask a question may come to me." I wanted to ask the question again because this time I had my notebook on which I had made the ray diagram and the derivation. He saw me and said,"Look at that fellow. He wants to know mathematical modelling. Brother, that would yield to you nothing. Okay come to me again with it." When I went to him, he didn't listen to the question. His mood and his expression were a sort of-'What the heck he wants to know.' And the most baffling thing he said was," Why don't you go to your maths teacher?" What would you say now? A physics teacher asking you to go for a maths teacher(who I doubt even know something about reflection) is a reality with me. Get a look at the thread please.

Calculators are a mess sometimes. Like, in this case, if on the very first day the student was doing the problem and encountered the fraction operation and went for a 'I will try again' than 'Where is the damn calculator'- he would have been a success in it today. I don't know about how books in your country are designed. But, here we have books which repeat stuff, though adding a little to it, in alternate classes. Like, if in class 8 I learnt about various types of cells and how they function, I would learn about electricity in detail-with concept of resistance, voltage, power and all. If I learnt about how lens and mirrors work, just the basics; I would learn the mirror formula and lens formula in 10 and in 12 I would be deriving them all. The problem might be in the book designing part.

Recently I was trying to download torrents directly using services from torrific(dot)com. For this I had to cache a torrent file at torcache(dot)net. While I was on torcache, blue screen suddenly appeared and I couldn't read the function going on. tHe computer suddenly re-booted itself and it couldn't load windows again. Actually, it was behaving quite slow. Then I launched startup repair and get it back to normal. Now, was that a virus? If yes, how can I remove it?
