So what chemicals do you ban? Just the ones that work really well? If an athlete has a cold, should he be banned from taking Sudafed because it's a stimulant drug?

Should all legal performance enhancing drugs besides hormones be allowed... now we're getting in to arbitrary distinctions.

It could easily be worked out through simple mechanics incorporating air resistance... but then again anyone who can do that really wouldn't be wondering..

THe LD50 is 60mg; but theres no more than 3-4mg that reaches the smoker per cigarette, and its metabolized quickly. Take 20 of the nicotine gums and chew them all at once tho... you'll probably die.

The time is so large because my dorm decided to have a fire drill right in the middle of it when I had 50,000 points, I was pissed beyond belief.

The LD50 in humans is about 1400mg/kg.. this works out to be around BAL 0.42%, or about 20 shots of 80 proof alcohol.

But I'm comparing this to marijuana, which has a lethal dose so high it's never been reported.

i just think something needs to be done to discourage people from registering for the sole purpose of using the arcade, this applies to all people regardless of their skill at the games.

You should ask them to cite studies showing those effects... I sure haven't heard of any (besides effects like weight loss associated with any stimulant), and we've covered it quite thoroughly in my drugs class.

Just explain to them how a higher percentage of smokers die of causes related to smoking than heroin addicts die from causes related to heroin.

Any miniscule benefits are signficantly outweighed by the harm the 400 carcinogens in a cigarette cause. Trying to justify their drug habit with "beneficial side effects" for the most deadly substance in society (includingt ALL illegal drugs) is the last refuge of a junkie.

FPS is my favorite, but SimCity-type games are a close second. I was once ranked #1 in the world in Quake2lithium, in a field of over 35,000 players on the ranking system for that week. Back in the day when that happened, I averaged over 400fph, and set my personal record (and server record) of over 1500frags/hour in a 15 minute game.
