  1. What is the balanced equation for NaH2PO4 + H2O? Is it NaH2PO4 + H2O ----> PO4^3- + H3O^+ + 2Na^+ ?
  2. Can someone tell me if I am writing this equation right? I am trying to show the ion that is reacting in the solution. The solution: Al2(SO4)3 Equation: Al^+3 + H2O <----> Al(OH)^+2 + H^+
  3. Does anyone know how to determine the hydrated ion that affects the pH of a solution? Ex. NaCl solution, NaCH3CO2 solution, ect. I think it would be the Cl- ion in a solution of NaCl, but not so sure... Merged post follows: Consecutive posts mergedDoes anyone know?.... : -)
  4. I got this: AlCl3 pH=7 AlCL3 + H2O ----> AlOH^- + H^+ K3PO4 pH>7 K3PO4 + H2O -----> HPO4 + OH^- Na2SO4 pH>7 Na2SO4 + H2O ----> HSO4 + OH^- Ca(CH3CO2)2 pH>7 Ca(CH3CO2)2 + H2O -----> CH3CO2 + OH^-
  5. Predict whether an aqueous solution of each salt produces a solution with a pH >7, <7, or = 7. If the pH >7 or <7, write an equation that justifies your prediction. SALT: AlCl3, K3PO4, Na2SO4, Ca(CH3CO2)2:doh:
