  1. I was discussing the concept of drilling in space with some people and though I describe it as a "bone marrow sample" of the planets, others didn't seem to agree that it should be done. I was wondering what anyone here thought about that.
  2. so how many fully intact satellite fall into the earth's atmosphere? they make it such a simple and ordinary task of shooting down this one on thursday, but really, what are the odds? a bet is on. okay so...the bet is off...the satellite will enter our atmosphere with grace, i'm sure...if it even does. the big deal is that skylab is the last satellite to crash into our atmosphere as they so eloquently put it. or was it. well, anywho, skylab was 100 tons and this satellite is 2.5 tons. not to say size matters, but...well.
  3. yep that's me, but i'm velvetmaggot at myspace too.
  4. a girl can dream. I am really interested in knowing more about it. Some discussions say it will change they way we look at theories.
  5. It is a really nice daydream though to imagine the confirmation of this. It would open up a totally new world for us.
  6. I think it is another tool we have in our hands. I may be some kind of sociopath, but I don't so much disagree with testing on human subjects either. I've often thought about people on death row or in prison for life....why not?
  7. http://www.thebutterscotchthreshold.com/lego-escher-01.jpg Map out quantum gravity in lego form...what a big box that would be.
  8. too bad I haven't the patience to find a backbone link...an eternal golden braid will just have to do.
  9. the hip bone's connected to the... i like to think the "smaller" scale is just discarding the reality we have attatched to what we scrutinize. i think our perception of reality is what keeps us from some of the answers we seek.
  10. I think it would depend on the angle you are veiwing the concept of infinity. I could analyze this until Darwin came into play. hmm...my wandering thought that sparks your wandering thought and so on...heehee.
  11. I'm new to this forum and joined to feed on the smarts talk-maybe to throw some of my own in. I get to work with the very general but somehow select public...seems they talk alot about nascar, van halen, and roofing-leaving me hungry for brains.
