  1. It's true that movies/tv are good for refinement, but if your just learning they can be really hard to understand. Actors talk fast and recording can distort things, I speak pretty good German but I can hardly catch anything in German movies. Radio is worse.

I heard that those native-born Americans could write down which is exactly like what actors and actress speak, including punctuations, all correct while they are watching movies. I don't know if it's true.

  2. I've never read any special books or studied grammar, and i think i had D's in english all throughout high school , but i never had problems getting a job =P. btw, i know this vietnemese guy who barely speaks any english and hes a doctor, so...

"This vietnemese guy?" Who are you referring to? Well, anybody can get into life and work for jobs as long as they know some English. But if you want to go to some best universities in US, you need to know the exact flow of grammar.

  3. ps2' date=' the book is probably a good guide for you, but to learn how we Americans speak, you really need to watch our tv and/or movies.

However, in more formal settings, like writing for a job, then you need to know the rules. I believe the American Psychological Society puts out a book about grammer and it is considered by many to be the book to go to when you have a question.[/quote']

Are you saying that native-born American use many phrases to make some sentences fast-paced so that people can communicate easily?

  4. The answer is no. Stem cell research is progressing well in other countries. The US is officially too late to make any significant discoveries. There is too much ground to cover, and too little knowledge of the subject in the US. Stem Cell research is a political gambit in the US, it's no longer on the forefront of scientific research.

So you mean other countries' stem cell research progress are far better than US?

  5. Americans are getting bigger and bigger, and I don't just mean weight. I've seen 14 yr. old kids who are as tall as I am (5'7"). While the average height might be 5'8" or so right now, I suspect that number will spike as today's kids finish growing. It amazes me when I see some teenage boy with peach puzz on his upper lip (not even shaving yet) who's wearing a size 13 shoe!! One wonders what happened to make them grow so large. The simple explanation is that better health care when they were babies prevented any growth-inhibiting illnesses, but who knows...

Or because they were eating some foods that are hormone-genetic reformed.

  6. Ice Chest or Cooler, both are equally valid. Expensive ones can run a pretty hefty (hence expensive) price, but you can get decent ones for a few bucks. It depends on what you plan on carrying. A few sodas and a sandwhich? A headless corpse?

Just plan to carry a few sodas. So how much will it cost?

  7. Trust me' date=' virginity is not an inportant aspect in a partner. there are other, far greater aspects.

anyway, the answre to your question is 'some'.

there will be some. it may be hard to find them, but if its that inportant to you id sujjest that you put in the effort to find them, rather than choosing a child to 'reserve' untill shes old enough.[/quote']

Comparing students of community college and UC-whatever, which of them has more girls who never have boyfriend?

  8. Its good that your intending to wait untill shes old enough to initiate a relationship... but its arguable that you shouldnt have any romantic intentions towards a child' date=' even if you intend for the romance to be in years time.

why would you find a child romantically interesting, even if you intend to wait... why not simply go for adults.[/quote']

    Errrr, ok.

Do you think there are many girls left that have never had boyfriend for college people?

  9. Maybe if we survive that long. We'd probably have mastered genetic engineering by that point though and be something else entirely. Major ethical concerns.

There's really not much you can say to this question. It's just a whole lot of serious speculation. It'd made more sense to talk about doing 1 small nanotech modification first' date=' since not even that has been done.[/quote']

So you mean the current nanoprogress is still around 0 spot?

  10. There is a red big tank that people often carry around during any trip. When opening it, you see many ice cubes and drinks in there. Do you know what I am talking about? I am thinking about getting this so that when I drive a far way to buy something chill, I can still enjoy them icy. Because I will put them into this tank, so it will keep them cool.

  11. Wo Meiguoren/Deguoren. Wo hao pengyou jiao wo yidianr zhongwen. Wo xiang zhongwen. Aber wir können auch deutsch reden. O podemos hablar en Espanol. Es no problemo!

    請你用中文跟我說好嗎?

    我來美國已經有一陣時間了。

    不過在中文上詞類的用法很多,我就不曉得為什麼在英文上有那麼多的限制!
