  1. Hey people!! Whats up! I thought that a forum based on science should have room for imagination. After all, theories initially seem impossible till practical appiclitation proves otherwise. When Issac Asimov wrote Foundation, his books rocked the world as they went into the unknown streaches of the universe and that too based on solid scientific theories...after all he was a scientist himself. So i thought it would be a nice idea if we discussed our favorite Sci Fi books or stories... who knows we may even come up with an entirely new story. So come on guys get started and tell me about your favorite Sci Fi books. God Bless!!
  2. Hi everyone I am new. My name is Arcadia. Though I am not a science student... but science specially Astronomy is something I really find exciting. I am actually a literature student and someday want to write a science fiction novel. However, that dream seems light years away. ) I have studied science my entire schooling and have always had great love for physics. I am currently pursuing a Bachlors degree. I'm this place will teach me a thing or two about the vast streaches of the universe. Cheers
  3. The probability of life being anywhere else seems very high to me. I cannot figure out why of such a huge universe... only our planet should be blessed to have intelligent life. That is the main premise for me to question this. One cannot be sceptical about it, though. I guess we still do not have enough means to explore the vastness of the universe. As my favourite quote says: "I see what is, and ask: why? I dream of what could be, and ask: why not?" I think we should keep questioning this until we are able to explore the entire universe… that seems light years away.
