  1. Wasn't the OP supposed to come back and try and sell us on his product? I'm a tad bit disappointed... Oh, and this is for you, Severian ------>
  2. This is my favorite: nZMwKPmsbWE&feature=related It makes me laugh so much...but it does have quite a bit of foul language.
  3. wow...you really don't want to have iNow answer that question. Merged post follows: Consecutive posts mergedMy question is that what adjective would best describe evolution since, by its very definition, evolution only results in an improved/new species that is well-suited for its environment? Natural Selection is easily completely random, but since we define evolution as we do, shouldn't its "effect" be completely non-random? As it is inherently predictive and that is a qualification for intelligence as bascule noted? Maybe I'm way off, but that's how I see it.
  4. Dam...knew I shoulda bought a telescope instead of a laptop... Oh well, I guess I will watch it IA's way as well. Thanks for the info, JillSwift
  5. Humans see patterns where none exist, friend We can make the data support our hypothesis, if we try hard enough. That's why I can go outside and see an anthropomorphic shape in the clouds.
  6. As much as I'd like to agree with you Severian, ydoaPs is right. They aren't doing this for the good of mankind. They're doing it to pervert the Bible to be a proponent of their own twisted agenda. It's sad really.
  7. I make the following action for all decent theists/conservatives... That is all.
  8. But you're basically saying that we have a viable control over natural selection, which is what I stated (and was told I was wrong ). So...are you agreeing with me?
  9. I think I was actually let into the politics forum with like 14 posts, because I asked the mods real-nice like. And they let me
  10. "Democracy is the worst form of government except for all those others that have been tried." Churchill said that and I pretty much agree with him. Do you have a suggestion as to how we can reformat the entire US system without causing major conflicts that almost will certainly come to violence? Lobbyists have wayyyy too much power in our legislative system, but we aren't anywhere near a dictatorship.
  11. What do you mean no one has allowed implementation? Aren't nuclear reactors ridiculously profitable after a few years of operation?
  12. The Jon Stewart thing was freakin' hilarious. I don't know if this is a testament to the insurance companies' lobbyists' skills, or the general weakness of democrats...they have a super majority...and they still lose. They're just screwing themselves over. Wow.
  13. I was under the impression that the democrats had the numbers to pass anything they wanted? Was I wrong? If not, then what the heck is going on?
  14. Oh my god...that is just...those were sick people. They should be executed, imo. What horrible, horrible things to do.
  15. #include <iostream> using namespace std; int main () { cout << "Hello HelgTours!" << endl; } oh yeah, c++...bow before my awesome leetness. Merged post follows: Consecutive posts merged*One "Build Solution" later... WHADDYA MEAN IT WON'T COMPILE!?!?!
  16. I think that was intentional on Mr Skeptic's part, JillSwift Unless you were being facetious as well.
  17. Hey mooey, about the no comet thing. Isn't there a chance that there is some sort of planet killer hurtling at us, and we just have no freakin' clue it's coming? I'm not advocating this position, I just didn't like how the article blatantly dismissed all possibilities of an asteroid in the next four years. And I'm pretty sure the Mayans or whoever wouldn't have been able to accurately predict when a comet was going to hit Earth Just saying it a possibility.
  18. Yes, pray to the heavens that Swansont or iNow takes a shine to one of your posts. Instant rep-awesomeness is just a click away for you if it comes from those guys. Hey iNow...like the shirt <wink, wink>
  19. Once people that have learned a little physics realize that a moving magnetic field creates electricity, they think they can make their own perpetual motion machine. Like IA said, the absolute BEST we could do is break-even, and even that is near to impossible. It would require frictionless surfaces and superconductors, and be very very very hard to do.
  20. I respect your opinion also, but I think your concerns are misplaced. No rational Christian is going to sit there and wait for "divine intervention" on a financial crisis, or think that he would punish people for such a small transgression (or even have the desire to do so). And as it goes, we Christians are becoming more rational every day. I think this could work if we get the right people to set the infrastructure up.
  21. I agree with Mr. Skeptic and Dudde...I really don't see what the problem is. True, there needs to be more accountability (as is quoted above), but really, at least the church won't hire trial lawyers that have no emotion whatsoever, to legally "prove" that there's some way that the insurance company has the right to deny you. This seems to be like a good-willed, if slightly primitive, move to make an alternative to health care.
  22. I want to help (I actually KNOW the answers! lol) but I get an odd feeling I'll get mod-slapped if I do. Good Luck.
