  1. Like I said I find the value of sex as a way to reproduce so it may be possible that other uses are a little detrimental to humanity instead of helpful but if there is value than please share!

    You probably haven't experienced it then, having sex especially to produce offspring is in the minority of times you'll run across it. Thus why contraceptives are so popular, and sexually explicit acts are up for grabs free all across the internet - as I'm doubtful most of them end up with child.

    Are you asking if society should find value in it? Besides curing loneliness for the ones who are participating and sharing their time together help me to see what value it adds to society.

    No one asked society to think or try to get anything whatsoever from someone else's bonding with others - the argument for this is definitely back in the thread, if I get time in the next hour I'll link to it. For now, I don't see why it's something that has to have a use for society, and a huge percentage of acts done by heterosexual couples are already pretty useless to society, yet you have no mention of them?

    Does a married couple on their wedding night deserve to be disbanded because they have no intention of bearing a child on the first night? It's hardly fair to hold others to these standards

  2. Is it possible to take the side cover off the computer? That clicking could be a number of things, and could be very important to the reason the computer is going slow. Is it loud or quiet? And how frequent is the click? Like once per second, or to fast to count, etc.

    other than that, I recommend either running scandisk or looking into a utility called Ccleaner , which usually works fantastically for me.

  3. Oh sweet I love when they put words in my mouth and go backwards.

    No, I agree.I don't believe the sex practice should be encouraged to children at all whether homosexual or heterosexual.

    I don't remember mentioning anything about Children.

    Conversation is interesting but fruitless

    Then take interest and participate, or expect no fruit and stop. You're either trolling out of amusement, or really believe the arguments you're standing on. In either case, we have several threads on the subject and have countered all these before.

    (Now I believe the word marriage is derived from taking a bride or young woman but admit I am still searching on this.)

    If you find anything conclusive, and hopefully from a reliable source, please share. It's fairly important if you're basing your entire point of view from it.

    EDIT:

    by the way, the argument that

    Good try!

    is in reference to is completely valid, and I see no reason to discredit it.

  4. No, being unable to have sex would mean you are married.

    Wiser words were never spoken.

    As for

    I did notice one brought up about health issues and it was argued that two consenting adults have a right to take their chances thus why I wrote

    ...

    You really can't try to deny a marriage for a certain sex practice (sodomy/"anal"), because then you need to monitor heterosexuals to make sure they're not engaging in the same. Since we know they are doing the same thing in vast quantities, I see no foundation to base any more faith in the argument you're bringing up.

    Besides that, not all homosexual couples have sex to begin with, some of them are quite old and just want to live out the rest of their lives together.

    This is usually done through the mating process.

    Unless you can make a stand on the argument that it's the "only" way it can be done, or feel like making the assertion that the original creators of the word only meant mating, this is entirely irrelevant. Eggs are usually eaten cooked, but I've eaten them raw before - people usually call their parents by Mom and dad, but there are a great many exceptions to this -

    Now we have stretched the meaning of the word marriage

    I thought you were talking about the word matrimony. Are you claiming we're using both words wrong? Don't words usually evolve with society based on need? I don't remember gay always meaning homosexual, nor a certain derogatory term aimed at gays used to mean something completely different.

    EDIT:

    I forgot to add - matrimony is usually describing the state of being married, as your paragraph suggests in a way - so then it really depends on the definition of marriage. Which really hasn't changed until recently, in desperate attempts at keeping gays from marrying.

  5. Glad to hear this issue is resolved!

    mooeypoo; No cynicism was intended. I have dealt with both Dell and Microsoft customer support (albeit 3 or 4 years ago) and found that Dell did a much better job of solving my problems.

    That's fantastic to hear, I've worked for Dell tech support for a few years now.

    For the record, if the software is purchased OEM from Dell, we're the first line of support as contractually stated between the two companies, and usually a bajillion times faster than trying to go through the vendors themselves anyway (and this is true of most OEM providers)

  6. You can also use the Microsoft Genuine Software diag, just in case there's something else that is failing your system's key. After that, run the genuine test yourself Here, it may give you some insight.

    This is actually most of what Dell can do also, if it comes up with failed for whatever reason, definitely call into support, they should get you fixed up or contact Microsoft about the key

  7. I studied to be in that industry for quite some time, and had a pretty solid correspondence with several of the professionals on the inside.

    Don't be afraid to find some companies and email them, let them know you're interested in certain kinds of positions and what they would recommend for a beginner wanting to start these fields.

    you probably won't get a response to each and every email you send, but if you send a good 10-20 emails, you should get a pretty good idea of what you want to look for

  8. It's a general consensus in my immediate family that were any of us to become drooling, completely dependent on both technology and others to live, that we don't want that.

    I'm pretty sure it would take a while to be okay with the decision, but the general idea is that if we're not really living, then we don't really want to be. I think the line for me stops when I'm not doing my own life. Someone else to feed or change, something else to help me breathe - these are not qualities I consider myself alive for, and I don't want my non-living to be monetarily encumbering for anybody anywhere.

    Of course if my living benefits someone in some significant way, research or something weird - hell I don't know what's going on anyway, just give me some chocolate and lead on!

  9. Is letting people live and die homeless or not treating them because they're poor considered constitutional? I wonder why they're poor to begin with:rolleyes:

    it's probably not the best time to start those programs because we've had a ridiculous war overseas for the past decade and our economy just broke it's nose, but it's pretty obvious that not many presidents are willing to actually do anything about it(and probably not many citizens either) and we were all headed under soon anyway, so we might as well try.

    although in response to the actual question, I'm not sure if it's constitutional per se, I'll have to do some research

  10. THEN; To participate on this forums 'Politics' Section,

    ~~~
    ....But then I enjoy the challenge, when I'm in the mood.
    Personal problems with someone else are incredibly detrimental to the debate at hand, please take care of those via PM, or somewhere else
    I am sure, there are examples of a Muslim, getting on a Jury, influencing a decision, but this is no doubt true of Christan's, Hindu or any other religious influence, which in itself is not illegal.
    Are you just throwing a blanket statement on this? I'm sure it's true too, but there's not much relevence if you're not citing a specific example, there are probably examples of pretty much everything in the world. They don't relate to us, however, unless we provide the connection. As was stated earlier, if we can't prove that they're the ones behind what they're being tried for, then why circumvent the system and hang them up for it anyway? Kind of sounds like why the system was put in place for to begin with.
    This as good of an example, possible. Your basing this on what...Under War, exactly what was done, that is not still going on, was blatantly unconstitutional, at the time the actions were taken. While your at it, give me the Constitutional or Legal Language, behind buying GM, bailing out the Unions Trust Funds, Cap and Trade, Czars, Cap and Trade, National Health Care, Forcing States to Extend Welfare and Unemployment, categorized Income distribution (going around State Authority) and maybe 20 more issues.
    care to provide those 20 issues? I may have become lost in your statement here, but I'm not as familiar as you with the financial part of our legal system it seems, which parts of the constitution did they violate under buying GM and trying to save companies from falling under? And where does the constitution prohibit hiring advisors and calling them Czars? ..and how is reforming healthcare unconstitutional? If anything, the system we have in place now is the violation we should be concentrating on. I don't have time to go back to check out what they did with forcing states to do anything, I'll check it out after work, but are you sure they just didn't offer incentives or place part of some relief money in an article saying "extend welfare and unemployment and you get this stuff"?
  11. Toner is used in Laser printers to imprint the image to the paper
    I should have specified instead of using familiar terminology to relate, but I think it helped you grab the bigger picture
    if your printer is inkjet and you're using cartridges, it's ink, but you're still not going to get any dark colors out of the printer if it has no black.
  12. Try changing the text color?
    it would have to be a bright shade if you're completely out of toner, because that's how your printer is going to get it's darker hue.
    some printers won't print anything once they're below a certain level of any color, regardless of what you're using, though toner is one of those really used parts of the ink..
  13. Whoa I completely missed this thread
    I have vista home basic and have had to reinstall my OS several times due to tech support while...not entirely sober... and have never had my E: drive affected by the bounce, except that it changed my drive letter (strangely)
    both partitions are on the same physical disk, if you haven't done so already, you should be fine as long as you format the right partition
  14. I know this thread is a bit old, but as a horribly irresponsible teenager I managed to get both hydrochloric and sulfuric in me eye- even with weak concentration, you don't question if it happened or not. You probably had something else get up in there - still, if you ever think there's anything in your eye, definitely take preventative steps, even non-corrosive materials can damage the eye
  15. Actually the Bush presidency I think tried to kill programs that would make condoms easy to obtain in Africa from our side of it all with aid.
    *Sorry, that was the pope on condom use and Bush said no condom education in the U.S, only abstinence.
    agreed. I see a large population against sex education and contraceptives/contraceptive education being the same population that is pro-life starting with stage one. I'm not generalizing of course, but what course of option do we really want to leave people with? Abstinance is clearly not working on a huge majority, but I don't think we really push it as a society either - how can you expect your teen not to want to have sex if you let them watch all these movies that glorify the hell out of it.
  16. I would be against this use of abortion just as much as I would be against killing baby girls to meet child restrictions. As I said in my opinion I view abortion to be wrong under virtually all circumstances. If there were such food shortages in a country I would hope that the adults would do the responsible thing, and take proper percations against bring a child into the world they know they cannot raise.
    Yes, darn them all it's so easy to go to walgreens and get condoms. I would use CVS personally, but I'm not sure if they've made branches in Africa yet.
