He's really into the elements and science in general. Does anyone have recommendations for interesting experiments using gallium? I'd love to keep his interest going! It's also claimed to make steel brittle even if added in small amount at the surface and be consequently used for sabotage; I've no opinion about that. Some gallium eutectics are liquid at room temperature, Galinstan (Ga-In-Sn) is famous but Ga-In suffices already. Does liquid gallium take less room than solid one?
