Hitman47
I dont understand this at all, i dont seem to get the logic in this, ive seen my helpful little rules to memorize but i dont seem to recognize it when i face a factoring problem, is there any tricks or some logical concept on this topic? fafalone
I learned to do it just by visualizing what monomials could be multiplied to get the quadratic or cubic i wanted... though this process became extremely time consuming with quartic, quintic, and up orders :/ I actually wrote an algorithm in visual basic to expand and factor polynomials as part of my symbolic manipulation calculator. i'll find the source and post it. aman
I never could remember all the rules so you need to keep a reference handy or really know how to memorize. Take your time and double check as you go also, It only takes one step to blow it. After your done work backward and see if your answer checks. Good luck. A good crib sheet of rules is gold for homework. Just aman
NSX
Well, for binomials, its really easier to use the synthetic division; as its less complex.
