Candidates on Science

Featured Replies

This should make for a nicer discussion. Here are all the candidate's responses of a professionally organized questionaire on science. Here are their views on many important questions. I'm just gonna leave this here:

Have fun discussing.

I skimmed most of it as none of the responses were terribly surprising, although I did stop and read the answers to a couple of questions more closely. Thanks for posting it.

Is there anything in particular you'd like to discuss from the responses?

Nah, not really. Most of this is over my head. I try to propose something though.

What are your thoughts on Trump's climate change or energy policies versus Clinton's

You mean where one candidate responded to the question and the other countered with random stream of thought?

Edit: to be fair, two provided actual answers, but none of them were Trump

I was surprised by how much Trump was able to fake some of it.

It's helpful to remember that it is fairly unlikely that either Hillary or Trump actually wrote their answers personally. Most likely it was a staffer drawing on whatever the candidate's official platform is.

Jill Stein may have written her own simply becauseI don't know how many people she has to do this sort of thing for her.

There's always the chance one or both did actually write, or at least dictate, their responses, but I would be mildly surprised to learn that was the case.
