It is possible to take a photograph of the Milky Way

Featured Replies

Hello, today I would like to announce that it is possible to take a real photograph of the Milky Way instead of drawing a picture that probably looks like it. If we were able to find an entity with a mirror-like property outside of the Milky Way galaxy, and we looked in it with our telescopes, we might be able to find a reflection of the Milky Way galaxy, which would mean we wouldn't have to estimate what it looks like, because we would have an accurate picture of it.

But there aren't any such entities, so this is moot.

If you are interested in learning/discussing science, a better approach might be to pose questions rather than post this kind of supposition. It's out of place for this site.
