Can anyone help me with list of GOOD textbooks with which to learn Matlab and Java too?

I'll be glad.

A word of warning on using java. As you may know java belongs to the oracle corporation it is not open source software. You may or may not be sued for using it I do not know of what legal implications you may be liable for. Google is in a massive copyright battle at the moment for use of software which quite rightly did not belong to them. http://chicagoinno.streetwise.co/2015/06/30/oracle-google-lawsuit-everything-you-need-to-know-who-wins/

The other thing to be aware of is that Oracle also owns mysql so in order to use mysql commercially you need to purchase business licensing which can cost thousands.http://www.mysql.com/products/

Thanks fiveworlds.

I like the java link. The Matlab, the content is superb too but, I need a material in pdf that'll be accessed offline anytime, anywhere.

Please have in mind that everyone can go online to search and download a simple book. What I just need is your Recommendations, what worked for you, the most simplified and efficient choice.

Can you do that for me? Please.
