What are the best tools for data collection and sharing?

Featured Replies

When my friend went to Africa for his Master's project, he was able to collect all his data on an iPad using an app. The app wasn't actually designed to be used by scientists though (I think it was for cataloguing DVD. ha). Does anyone have any experience with apps or software tools that could be used by teams to collect and collaborate over their data?

Dropbox download and install the latest version https://www.dropbox.com/downloading

Then create an account with your email. Log into dropbox create a new folder. You have an option

for folder sharing. Select your colleagues you want to share with who also have dropbox. They appear as their email address. Now the folder you create should

appear in mycomputer copy and paste all the files you want to share and they will appear in your colleagues folders. Unfortunately dropbox only supports 10GB max so after that you need your own server.
