its human nature to want power. Obviously, we can get power by controlling things that are much less superior than we are. But thats just human nature. What makes you think aliens would have the same insticts as we do?

 

P.S. humans in general are hostile. you were generalizing by saying that "humans" are hostile. -think about charities, orphanges and hospitals, ect.
