I believe that Einstein himself had serious reservations about the notion of Minkowski spacetime, dismissing it as "superfluous learnedness", before adopting it as a significant foundation stone in his General Theory of Relativity.

 

The idea that a massive body causes spacetime to become curved has always seemed odd, but that doesn't stop many people accepting it without question. In fact to question it might be seen as a form of blasphemy to some.

 

But how can a massive object cause something which is itself massless to become curved. In fact, one could see spacetime as simply a mathematical device without real existence at all. Does anyone else find something peculiar about this?

What if space time is actually "Pure Still Time" a stand alone entity. How bout this, what if the illusion of gravity is relative the amount of pressure from the mass body against "PST" So when someone says to me bending of space time due to a massive body, this to me is a false staement, it is in my theory the displacement of the "PST" trying to return to its point of origin. I have had a thoery for about 25 years that may explain universal movement and including the dark matter problem can be accounted for and why. Interested.........First time Ive ever shared my thoughts with anyone so forgive the spelling and grammar.

Thank you for your suggestion. I absolutely had no right to make such a bold statement. I was told recently to find an outlet for my theories rather than to keep writing them on the barn walls and them come to pass so I found this forum and had no intentions of hijacking anyones' post. I dont have any formal education in physics or mathematics however I seem to be able to have the ability to understand and predict how the universe works from all directions and one. I dont have the status or the education to write a publication. My theories are not for profit or glory, so could you or would you be willing to let me just put something on paper and let you or someone else read it and tell me if I am just wasting my time. I trust that because of your type of response to what I did is that you, "tell it as it is", and I would fully respect your opinion or response on this matter. Thank you

You don't need any formal qualifications to submit a paper, but the chances of a paper being any good is low if you don't know what you are doing.
