The solution which resists to change its pH is called Buffer Solution. The resistance to change in pH on the addition of small amount of acid or base is called Buffer Action. The amount of acid or alkali required to change to produce unit change of pH in the solution is called the Buffer Capacity of the solution. Our blood is the buffer solution and its pH is 7.3 .
