question about the media

Featured Replies

I made collier media yesterday consisting of all amino acids and also glucose and trace element. I want do growth the day after tomorrow and I am worried about my media not getting bad, I was wondering if i can put it in cold room for the time I dont use it?

Thanks.

If it is not autoclaved or filtered there is a good chance of contamination, even in the fridge. But you would have to sterilize it before use at some point, anyway. If it is sterile storing it in fridge or RT is both OK for a while (but avoid direct sunlight).
