i need to know common name of the following compound... and as a clue, common name has been mentioned in 20th century novel... let me know folks.. if anyone knows....

Haha I actually learned about this compound in my pharmacology course. Its a poison that paralyzes the victim, but allows for the victim to retain consciousness after being paralyzed. It is an antagonist for the Nicotinic acetylcholine receptor. :P
