This is more than likely, going to sound like a dumb question. I am trying to come up with a great answer to why I am finding an abundance of bacteria in comparison of fungi. I have the basics in the answer, pH, slower incubation time, general higher abundance in the environment. Anything else anyone can help me with? Much appreciated! :)

Well you can try looking at what causes bacteria to develop and compare that to how fungi develops. I'm taking a crash course in microbiology and I haven't gotten to the bacteria and fungi unit but hopefully you can use my suggestion.
