Mass-energy equivalence. The total energy of a system at rest is proportional to the mass. Otherwise stated: mass is a form of energy. You can convert mass into other forms of energy,and vice-versa. For example, an unstable nucleus could break apart and sent particles out with kinetic energy, but there will be a reduction in the mass of that system.

My mass- 72kg

speed of light- 186000 miles/sec

 

[math] E=72(1.86*10^5)^2[/math]

correct?

 

So we all have a great amount of potential energy, but since i'm made of stable atoms then its almost impossible to ever use that energy? correct?

nothing can have speed more than light but if a body has comparable speed than interconversion will take place according to equation.

 

No massive body can travel at the speed of light. Conversion takes place in nuclear reactions
