Was watching some of Tom Cruise's divorce proceedings today and wondering if Scientology gave his wife a leg up as to why? This video is a short synopsis of who L Ron Hubbard was, but not how or why his cult, or religion was founded?

Scientology is a sham religion useful to it's followers for using the IRSes tax exempt status for churches. People like Tom Cruise can donate millions to the church that he writes off, they pay no taxes on, and he gets to spend as a high member of the church. L Ron Hubbard was the mastermind that figured out that he could create a fictional religion and use it against the government to keep more of his money. I've actually considered becoming an ordained atheist so I can do something similar with the money I could earn officiating things like gay weddings
