Design the instruction format of a system with the following structure

 

i.16 registers

ii.16 word addressable memory of 64KB which is to be extended with a second module of same capacity

iii.Seven instructions with one memory address and one register,31 two register address ,7 instructions with one register address and 10 instruction with 0 address.Specify the format of each group of instructions.Do you like to have any NOP?justify

I wonder how many people will design an instruction set in their career.

Not to mention: a 16 bit machine with irregular instruction set.

 

I'm just coming from the thread with 150ns pipeline machine and wonder:

has this subforum fallen in a time warp? A worm hole?

How do these people of the past have an internet access to discuss with us?

 

This was technology when I was a student, and I have grey hair now.
