So I'm restarting my SFN-hosted blog and am looking for input for what the title should be (don't want to regret my choice later!)

Anyway, you can vote above and leave feedback in the thread... I'd very much appreciate your input.

For some context, the blog will focus on microbiology, particularly on current (and perhaps historical research) and especially on DIY, at-home microbes (particularly food/drink fermentation) with simple experimentation.

When voting, please consider factors such as relevance, 'googleability', uniqueness, etc.

Thanks,

You're starting a blog on scientific beer goggles (I assume you have a microscope?). Will you be posting pictures of happy yeast?? :)

Anyway, I've clicked on my 2 favorites... I simply clicked on the two I liked best, but totally ignored how easy they would be to find on google.

Thanks,

I don't have a microscope, but will either be using my lab's scope at night when no-one is around or acquiring one second hand or something. Need to get a decent camera as well.

Only the Germans use gut yeast for their beer. :)

what do you mean by gut yeast?

I'm actually brewing up a german-style berliner weisse right now, which is brewed with have regular brewer's yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) and a beer-friendly Lactobacillus species (a bacteria commonly found in the gut).

One of my ideas for a project/ post series is to attempt to use 'wild' microbes to ferment stuff. Though I think probably not from gut material.
