A silly question.

Featured Replies

If you were to throw some, lets say Volvic (other brands available) water into an ocean of Volvic water, would the water you have thrown in sink or float?

I'm not a physicist, as you can probably tell. In fact, I'm not sure whether this should be in the physics or chemistry section, but I was just wondering.

Thanks lol

Neither. If it were some material that has the same density as water, it would have neutral buoyancy and neither sink nor float. Since we're talking about a liquid the question doesn't make as much sense. If you could somehow tag the molecules you tossed in you would see them diffuse.
