green chemistry

Featured Replies

friends,

I heared a word green chemistry, yesterday. Anyone please explain what is green chemistry and more than about it.

Green chemistry is a more recent movement in industrial and lab scale chemistry that essentially aims to promote sustainable methods that use and produce little in the way of toxic compounds. An ideal 'green' reaction would be something that requires minimum energy input, generates minimum waste and uses benign reagents.
