BioMedCentral has an article on the decision made by the Presidentially Appointed Council on Biomethics.

 

WASHINGTON — A majority of the President's Council has recommended a ban on reproductive cloning and a four-year moratorium on therapeutic cloning in the Council's first report.

Agreed. Our Country is 60%+ Catholic; I'd assume that number reflects government employement also.
