My question then is does atomic orbitals bear any rational connection with gravitational orbit as an agglomerate of its basic unit? mathematic Posted December 28, 2011 Share Posted December 28, 2011 Atomic "orbits" and gravitational orbits are two completely different things. Quantum theory describes how atoms are put together.
