Organic Farming

Hello everybody

I'm doing a school project on organic farming and I would like someone to explain to me the science behind organic farming. I have researched the methods of organic farming but I couldn't find anything that explains the science(with exception of wikipedia which I consider unreliable).

I would be really grateful to anyone who is of slightest help.

Thank you

That's complex subject because there are many different types of organic agriculture, and many different reasons (ecological, evolutionary, socio-economic) for different organic practices. For which part of organic agriculture do you want to see scientific evidence?

You may consider Wikipedia to be unreliable in the conclusions it draws due to bias, but they do list several source material notes and references, which are usually excellent. You should check into the online ones at least, in addition to replies you get here, of course.
