ok who knows what wax babybel cheese is covered in if you roll it ect it becomes very soft and sticky it sticks to what ever it touches but if you leave it out in the cold it sets rock hard so what is babybel wax made of

a basic parafin wax with added colorant

well why doesnt that contaminate the cheese

why should it?

 

wax has been used for centuries as a sealant for food stuffs. and Bees Wax is especilay good as it`s softer at room temp and also contains anti-bacterial agents

because it contains parafin. i do love the smell of bees wax
