This is the first i am using a forum i have a question that can any one tell me the chemical name of PHENOLIC RESIN used in LAUNDRY INK manufacturing

I'm not entirely sure what laundry ink is, but I would imagine there would be a few. If you look up phenolic resins + printing ink, you should find a few. What is this for?

laundry ink mean the ink with which drycleaner write no. or something for identification of our clothes

I can honestly say I've never been to a dry cleaner's in my life. It strikes me as odd that they would use a resin for ink, though.

A phenolic resin is a mixture of different chemicals (so it doesn't have another name than 'phenolic resin').

Once it has reacted, it forms a branched polymer which could also react with the stuff arount it - in this case the fabric or something. I think it will react with almost any -OH group. So, it becomes a very complicated molecule which doesn't have an official chemical name.

 

My suggestion is that you either keep the name as you have it now: phenolic resins for laundry ink, or alternatively, look for a brand name (the name of the product and the name of the manufacturer).
