WorldOfBiochemistry
Yes, I think you have named the best choices... Nevertheless, there are some important differences between them. Voet is more detailed and Devlin has the boxes with the clinical informations, that are very useful for medical sciences students. lehninger, voet, and devlin are good choices
Papaver
I also like Biochemistry by Metzler. I think it's not a book for medical students but for Biochemistry or Biology students. It additionally provides good knowledge in basics like organic chemistry. During my studies I mainly used Stryer.
WorldOfBiochemistry
Stryer is ok, but ir is somehow superficial, that is, the issues are not very detailed. For Biochemistry or Biology students, I think Voet and Voet (not the Fundamentals of Biochemistry) would be a good choice. I also like Biochemistry by Metzler. InSilico
Lehninger 4 life, yo. Alternatively, I found an old text (actually recommended to me by my mother who found it - along with Lehninger, of course - useful when she was getting her PhD in biochem) pretty handy: Biochemistry: a Problem's Approach by W.B. Wood. http://www.amazon.com/Biochemistry-Problems-Approach-W-Wood/dp/0805398406
