I would like to suggest here a book that presents the fundamentals of human and mammalian biochemistry.

ya dats a gud book but i prefer lehninger n voet n voet to be d best one for biochem

lehninger, voet, and devlin are good choices

Yes, I think you have named the best choices...

Nevertheless, there are some important differences between them. Voet is more detailed and Devlin has the boxes with the clinical informations, that are very useful for medical sciences students.

I also like Biochemistry by Metzler. I think it's not a book for medical students but for Biochemistry or Biology students. It additionally provides good knowledge in basics like organic chemistry. During my studies I mainly used Stryer.

Stryer is ok, but ir is somehow superficial, that is, the issues are not very detailed. For Biochemistry or Biology students, I think Voet and Voet (not the Fundamentals of Biochemistry) would be a good choice.
