Is there a mathematical equation pertaining to the Doppler Effect?

Featured Replies

Asking question is completely ok. Even for such easy question which you could as well have looked up on Wikipedia - at least in my opinion.

Worse would have been

Since there is no equation for the Doppler Effect, here's my theory, which bases on the fact that eveything is just a form of energy, that explains the Doppler Shift.
This somewhat does serve as a starting point for a discussion. But a stupid one.

And really bad would have been.

The Doppler Effect really is just Big Bang quantum fluctuations. I am not a physicist but I am very smart. Also, I know that I must be correct. I cannot say too much about my theory because people might steal it.
No discussion, stupid, delusuionary.
