What is the place from where the leaf comes out of stem called? Is it the node? Also the roots which absorb water & minerals from the host plant are called what?

Node is correct, but I don't think he's asking about root hairs.

"absorb water & minerals from the host plant" makes it sound like you're talking about a parasitic plant, in which case the haustorium is the organ you are talking about.
