negative mass is a possibility and if it exists it would have negative gravity. and if this negative gravity could be made strong enough it could turn into something like a reverse dark hole where not even light could reach its surface. this could then be ued as a forcefield.

Force Fields are real and can be used to protect astronauts from charged particle radiation, as in this idea from NASA...

that is kind of a force field but i'm talking about a force field that would deflect incoming projectiles and lasers.

you can make a force field (or dampener) with a strong enough positive or negative electric field. (also if the object was metal would help)

but would that work ageist light or antiparticle based weapons?

or a railgun?
