I'm just wondereing if personality is carried in genes, and the way we think. For example, the way we think - do we think in a similar way to out ancesstors?

I think it's partially genes and partially learned. Things like tempers seem to run in families, like how most Irish are known for the quick tempers. But if a parent acts a certain way a child will imitate the parent. If the parent is outgoing and talkative the child will likely become that way too, likewise if the parent is shy and quiet the child probably will be rather shy also.
