ok, i think im doing something wrong with this net send, i type:

 

net send 67.18.105.36 hello

 

to send the message hello to that IP, however i get the error message:

 

message alias could not be found on the network.

 

what does that mean? what am i doing wrong?

Is this a known IP or did you just make it up?

its the sfn IP, but i've tried different IPs of friends and stuff, i ALWAYS get the same message.

Netsend is a network protocol. The internet is not your network.

 

 

I'd appreciate it if you did not attempt to send information to the IP address of the machine this web site is hosted on without having a clue about what it is you're doing.
