Interpretation of Data help? (Biochemistry)

Featured Replies

I don't think I'm giving all the information in this homework problem, but I don't want to have the problem solved for me. I just need to know where to start.

We were given the data for enzyme assays and all we have to do (in one to two sentences) is to explain the data.

For example in problem (f), it seems like I have to go to a protein database and look up the structures based on the enzyme code, but i'm not entirely sure how to interpret the data once the structure is in front of me......

The description of the experiment is missing (what is being measured with what means). That being said it appears to me that only a description of what the differences between the enzymes might be is asked (what does the Km and Kcat tell you, describe the differences).

Without knowing what experiment that is I can only guess but I think this should be sufficient. Especially as those abbreviations generally are not helpful in identifying them nor do I think that the sequence will help you in any way.
