I would bet you are exposed to a lot more radiation that you think. Radioactive sand isnt gona do much unless you sleep in it your entire life and eat it 3 times a day.

I´ve once seen the numbers that a buch of demonstrants against transports of nuclear waste (there are almost always some, at least in germany) emmit a lot more radiation than the actual container :P
