ajb Posted September 14, 2009 Share Posted September 14, 2009 If a material object travels faster than the speed of light as measured in a co-moving inertial reference frame then it is possible to find an inertial frame in which the object is moving backwards in time. If you draw a line corresponding to a particle moving faster that the speed of light (the 45 degree line) you can find another frame in which the particle moves backwards in time.
