First Jupitor now Saturn's rings getting hit???

Featured Replies

I saw a recent story about meteoric strikes on Jupiter as well, but I don't know if it's atypical or just due to improved technology and more time spent watching Jupiter and Saturn up close.

Either way it's interesting, and that's when learning happens so it's exciting to follow. Thanks for the post. :)

Good job we have the Gas Giants! They often catch any debris that comes into the solar system in their gravity pulls. This means that most things hit Jupiter and don't come in near the Earth.
