does caffeine cause hunger?

i've noticed that everytime i consume a great amount of caffeine that an almost insatiable hunger, even if i have just eaten a large meal. is it just me? is this a normal effect?

Caffeine increases metabolism

To develop that point, this is why I think it causes great deal of hunger. Increases metabolism means that your body reactions are moving faster. This means that the glucose in the blood starts to go to a lower level. This would make you divert your blood supply towards your stomach and intestines as it would be trying to bring back the glucose level to normal. You digest your food faster, making you feel hungry.

This is just my theory in it, is this correct?

Partially. A lot of caffeine results in lowered levels of glucose. Low levels of glucose result in feelings of hunger. Blood is diverted to the gut only when you've eaten.
