lciaquin
I added heparanase to cleave sulfated GAG chains or add chlorate to inhibit sulfation and still have radioactively labeled sulfates getting incorporated. What could it be getting incorporated into? Thanks!
CharonY
It depends a bit whether you let the cell metabolize the acquired sulfate. There are a rather largish amount of molecules into which sulfur gets incorporated as e.g. amino acids or iron-sulfur clusters. Theophrastus
Wait, I'm actually rather confused. Are you refering to an isolated experiment with heparan, or is it a cellular process you're working with? A little more articulation would be most appreciated.
