Because we're going to run out of oxygen in 40 years. The aliens said so.

The Andromedans say that unless we change our ways of behaving, with all of the industrialization and what we are doing to the planet, we have less than 40 years of oxygen left.

I really don't know what can possibly be said to that, except;

Deary, deary me.:D

Real science question: has there been a measurable change in the amount of oxygen about?

The Andromedans allied themselves with the plant-life? Plants will stop making oxygen?

I always thought that plants were suspiciously quiet the whole time.

I thought the plants where going to make us commit suicide by poisoning our neural transmitters and reversing the order to survive!

I like M. Night Shyamalan...................:P

And... why, exactly, is this news source taking the "alien contactee" seriously? O_O

Related note: I love the term extraterrestrial. Such a cute attempt to sound credible when discussing LGM.

I'm fairly sure it's the correct term, actually.

I believe that global warming will be brought to a halt by the recent resurgence of piracy. Thank you Somali pirates!

That may be so, but we still run out of oxygen.

I mean, the Andromedans are trustworthy aren't they? Not like those sneaky Rigellians.
