Grabbing data from a running program ?

Hi.

A program I have displays the elevation and azimuth of the sun in real time for a chosen location, updated every second.

How can I tap into that data to perform other basic calculations, send to parallel port and display the results in another window simultaneously ?

 

Am not good at all with compfusers...:-(

There are some programs that are capable of reading the text off the screen, in much the same way as pages can be scanned and turned into text. They even call it the same thing -- OCR, or Optical Character Recognition.
